No, The Studio School is a magnet school which means we offer a different approach to teaching and learning than a neighborhood school. Parents must apply for their student during the choice enrollment windows, and students are chosen by lottery from five geographical regions within the school district.

We have two classes per grade level. Classes average 25 students.

No, because we are a magnet school which enrolls students from all over the district. Parents must commit to driving or carpooling to bring their children to our school.

We focus on integrating the arts with academics.

No, we do not have a P.E. teacher. Students are taught movement, body control, and dance in Performing Arts.

We use the district curriculum in reading, math and science as a resource to guide and inform our teaching of big ideas. We also adhere to Colorado State Standards.

Students have scheduled classes in the visual arts, ceramics, music, and performing arts. Within the regular classroom, they may be exposed to and learn drama, storytelling, recorder, tableaux, visual thinking strategies, puppetry, knitting, fabric arts, and other visual art forms.

It is our mascot, a griffin. In mythology, the griffin is the gatekeeper of treasures.

Our school colors are green and purple.
